I'm still not quite over how amazing the big Apple is, yet I'm forced to jump right back to work.. I got work-related phone calls within minutes after we landed in SJC..I was still on the plane!!
These past week and a half have been pretty action-packed. All business aside, I was very bummed about not playing at the Mtn. View a la carte Festival with Soul Intention because I was in NYC. But this last Saturday we got to play in a beautiful Wedding @ the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon. It was a 12-hour work day but Oh man, so worth it! I loooove weddings! I know, that's totally sappy but still! I also ran into my outfit twin there.. we had almost the same exact dress and shoes on, it was hilarious! Driving back crossing the golden gate bridge at midnight was no fun, not to mention the steep 45 degree slopes in the city.
Here is a view of the city from the Yacht Club across the bay.
The handsom boys
Scott working the crowd.
What's a long weekend if we didn't do outdoorsy activities? Cherry-picking it was! (That, and washing/waxing my baby car. That count as outdoor activity, doesn't it?) Brentwood was so green and beautiful and CROWDED! I came home with almost 7 pounds of bing cherries. Made my throat itchy but sooooo sweet and juicy.
Memorial Day Weekend = big sales. I got to the mall fairly early, it was pretty insane when I left. I did score some good stuff, and of course, a pair of Nine West flats. This is, afterall, the "confessions of a shoe-addict", I have to post a picture. heh.
Just two more weeks left until all these current projects are finished with. Then it is SUMMER! Too bad the weather is letting me down. Although I'm very excited upcoming short vacays like
camping next weekend. I've already taken a family room corner hostage for all my gears and supplies. I am determined to do as much as I can this Summer. Reading, learn French, work out, DEEP-CLEAN MY ROOM, etc etc.
Ok back to work!
Au Revoir.

Brace yourselves, this is a picture post. (Only the creme de la creme. We took about 500 pictures)
We started drinking on the plane. Redeye flight to NYC...barely slept at all. The flight attendant gave us free drinks!
After an hour nap, went to "good enough to eat". yummy brunch.
Dylan's candy shop. Owned by Ralph Lauren's daughter. It was super cute!
Serendipity3 | Frozen hot chocolate and Frozen peanut butter hot chocolate.
Double Decker bus sightseeing in the rain. Boo to that!
Museum of Sex!
Brooklyn Bridge.
Artisanal Fromagerie. | Garlic Herb Truffle Fondue and 26 days dry aged steak...Mmm..
Drunken Jenga. (Timble tumbler!)

I took this picture from the head of the line. look at how long the line was. 50 minutes wait!
Broadway!! We saw Spring Awakening. Great show!
My re-enactment of me tripping at the subway station. It was quite an embarrassing story which led to taking the wrong subway train.
Stopped by Juniors to get the world famous cheesecake. Devil's Food Cheesecake was incredible.
NYC cityscapes and buildings. Really Amazining.
Lucky Cheng's!! Because we love Drags.
Orgy Bowl for four with Bicardi flaming in the middle. This was the PoonTang I believe.
Ifong started to get dooooown. She sure liked her pecker boa. Later on the drunken subway home, she was counting each of them and saying the colors out loud!
Uh-Oh the trannie lapdance!! Best 25 dollars spent!
At Nexus | One on One Lounge.
Sympathy for the Kettle | Afternoon Tea. Really cute place.
Sharks Speed Boat at 45mph around Manhattan Island. It started raining and we all looked like wet dogs.

SaraBeth's | Mimosas!!
Strawberry Fields in Central Park. In Memory of John Lennon. | Imagine
Buttercup. Magnolia was better though. Not as good as Teacake in Emeryville though.

MANNERS!! UGH
Today I stopped by Marina, the local Asian market, to pick up some groceries for dinner. As the checkout clerk started to ring up my first bag of dumpling, I see this woman in her mid 40s came running and stopped at my checkout counter. She then, very loudly in Mandarin (in a thick mainland accent), asked the checkout lady to ring her up first because she was late to pick up her son. She then said, "just tell this woman (that would be me) that I was here first!" She thought I couldn't understand the language...
Wow, I was so shocked! Manners, people! Manners!! This is the one thing that my teachers and elders emphasized in school when I was growing up, and is one of the virtues that the Chinese cultural prized upon. Yet there I was, after witnessing numerous almost-accidents in Marina's parking lot because people couldn't wait for one extra second...and then this Chinese lady tried to cut in front of me in the checkout line. I know she just assumed I didn't speak the language, but if she could've just asked me to let her go first, I would've probably let her.
Same thing with working at the store. A lot of our customers are Asian...and even if you don't speak English very well, you should at least show some friggin' manners. Yet some just walk in, stand next to the front door thinking they are in some imaginary line, that help will magically appear. I know some people believe that when they walk into a retail store, they are "superior", and will pull some BS like the customers are always right. But all that aside, a simple greeting and a thank you at the end will do just fine. I
Oh and how did I respond to this rudeness at Marina? I turned to the woman and told her off in Mandarin of course.
